Big questions: the Pandemic, our Mission and the New Evangelisation

As the pandemic continues to affect our lives, it’s becoming clearer that there are parts of our lives that will inevitable change. Daniel Ang, in his recent article, talks about how there will be little left unchanged after life resumes, and how we can continue to involve our faith in what we do.

In the article, he mentions that we’re going to have to adapt to the changes, and that the time to evangelise is now, as the circumstances have given us more opportunities to reach more people across the internet.

I’ve also come across somewhere else (I will try to find the reference) someone posed the following questions, which I think are really relevant to consider:

  • What have we begun during the pandemic that we should continue?
  • What have we begun during the pandemic that we don’t need to continue and can stop when the lockdown is eased?
  • What had to stop that needs to resume when we return to normal?
  • What had to stop that we don’t need to resume when lockdown is eased?
