Making the Case for Tech

It is often the case where one or two individuals can see the benefits of using and investing in technology but struggle to share this vision with others. Many see the significant costs, especially in this time of reduced income, as non-essential or superfluous.

While I am not advocating using technology simply ‘because everyone is doing it’, even Pope Francis agrees that we could be using this medium for good.

TechImpact, a nonprofit techology firm in the US, has released a free resource to help facilitate these discussions for investing in technology: https://offers.techimpact.org/reports/pitch_kit

While the resources, at times, feel a little corporate (e.g. discussing Return on Investment), they are simply templates that can be adapted to help present information to your leadership team or parish council to help them discuss the technology and evaluate the benefits.
